On first time installation, IBackup selects certain commonly used folders for backup which are displayed under Select files / folders for Backup. To instantly backup your files/folders,

  1. The Backup tab displays a tree view of files/folders already selected for backup.    
  2. The Backup files to my IBackup account option is selected by default. In order to perform a local backup, select Backup files to my local and Express device.    
  3. Edit the backup set by clicking Change…, then select the required files or folders and click OK.
  4. Click Backup Now. The backup progress status will be displayed on the left pane of the application

IBackup creates a unique folder with your Mac name to backup data to your account. A summary is displayed on completion of the backup operation.

Scheduling your backups allows you to automate data protection.

To schedule,

  1. Click Schedule on the Backup screen.   
  2. Create a schedule by modifying parameters like backup date, time, frequency, and notification type.    
  3. Click Save Changes.
